Electromechanic drive systems

Electromechanical drive systems form the largest part of the industries’ electrical energy consumption, but they are also proven to be the most critical part of the installation. In order to meet the industries’ demand, Lemcko has specialized it selves in testing electric motor/drive systems with a power range varying from 100W up to 132kW. The test voltages are the traditional 230/400V, but also 500V and 690V applications belong to our possibilities.

 
The drive/motor combinations can be analyzed on efficiency and mechanical torque dynamics, but also the interaction of the system and the electricity grid (power quality). Vibration- and sound analyses of both motor and drive or complete test setup also belong to the possibilities of Lemcko. Lemcko has, in combination with the department electro mechanics of the college West-Vlaanderen department PIH, sufficient know-how to give the necessary recommendations and tailored solutions in relation to a lot of electrical drive systems.
 
The following  tests can be carried out:
  • Tests of electromechanical drive systems (100W - 132 kW)
    • Efficiency determination
    • Speed-Torque characteristics and dynamic measurements
    • Current, voltage, power measurements, dPF- and PF- analysis
    • Overvoltage analysis, study on motor filters
  • Influence of drives systems on the grid and the relation to power quality related issues
  • Test’s of distribution transformers up to 400 kVA
